Hawkefield are very good. I am disabled and all through the lockdowns, whenever they do one of their monthly checks, they knock on the door and see if I needed anything. They also gave me a number to call in emergencies. Their Property Management Services are excellent, they keep the place clean, tidy and well maintained.

Hawkefield and particularly Howard are very easy to deal with. The communication has been great and the firm are always easy to contact. We recently had a leak in the roof. Hawkefield organised the quotes, chose the right contractors, managed the whole process and kept all us owners well informed. To be expected as good property managers I guess but it was in the middle of a lockdown when most people couldn't seem to get anything done.

What makes Hawkefield so different?

 

Key to our purpose is protecting your property values, keeping your maintenance contributions as low as possible and at all times trying to make your properties better places to be. However, we are often also told how our style of Property Management is friendly, efficient and attentive. Our ten per year inspections underpin our entire modus operandi, catching issues early keeps costs down, as does engaging the most suited contractors to any work required.  

 

Do your fees include everything?

 

Our monthly fees cover day to day management of the finances, receiving and reconciling service and maintenance contributions and the management of contracted services. For example gardening, cleaning or lift maintence contracts.

They do not include ad hoc repair, maintenance or build projects, legal matters or company house filings. These can be billed on a time or project basis and are scrutinised by the Management Corporate body, to whom we report.

What area do you cover?

 

We keep our management fees low by confining our working areas quite tightly. This gives us good local knowledge, a great base of local contractors, reduced travelling time and reduced response times. Our current area of operations is within the triangle Yeovil to Seaton including Crewkerne and Yeovil to Osmington, taking in Dorchester and up to the coast, including Weymouth and the Island of Portland.
 

How much do you charge?

 

As each circumstance is unique, that is a tricky question to answer without all the information, which is why we will always do a site visit before bidding. What we can confirm though is, call us for a discussion and you will quickly have a written and binding quotation that is very often a pleasant surprise.

Do you have insurance?

Yes of course, we have both Public Liability and Professional Indemnity policies in place, tailored specifically for Property management Companies.

Can you provide references?
